The 30^th Annual Athletic Meet of Indian School Jalan was organized on Monday, December 4, 2023 in the school premises. Mr. Khalfan Mohammed Surur Al Senaidi, Proprietor and Managing Director, Dhiya Jalan Group, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.  Susmita Mahajan, Head Girl, delivered the welcome address.

The much-anticipated event began with a march past which showcased precision, unity and discipline. The Chief Guest received salute from the four houses – Blue, Green, Red and Yellow, and declared the 30^th Annual Athletic Meet open. Mrs. Seema Sreedhar, Principal, Indian School Jalan, addressed the gathering.

The function was graced by the presence of Mr. P C Fakrudeen (Convenor, SMC), Mr. Sirajudheen C (Treasurer, SMC) and Mrs. Preetha P S (Academic Chairperson, SMC). The march past was followed by various displays performed by students – Aerobics (KG 1 and 2), Yoga Slide (Class I and II), Zumba (Class III – V) and Yoga (Class VI – X). Each display demonstrated strength, flexibility, balance and breathwork. Winners of events that had been held in the previous days received medals from the Chief Guest during the inaugural ceremony and from other guests at regular intervals.

The highly anticipated 100-meter race and 4×100 meter relay brought together a multitude of participants eager to showcase their athletic prowess. It was a display of sheer speed and determination in which athletes burst forth with explosive energy.

Winners of 100-meter race and 4×100 meter relay received medals from dignitaries in the valedictory ceremony. The much-awaited and eagerly anticipated moment occurred in the valedictory ceremony – the declaration of the Overall Champions and the Runners-up by SMC Convenor, Mr. Fakruddeen. The Green House bagged the overall champions trophy and the Red House was declared as runners-up.

Mr. Rajeev P proposed the vote of thanks. The 30^th Annual Athletic Meet came to an end with the singing of the School Anthem by the school choir.
